Learner Experience

I am Anoop Kumar, joined the Basic Photography Course in Ambitions. Initially, I was actually trying to learn things from the internet and YouTube…I was not making much progress and I thought maybe I’ll join a course. And here what I found good is that the Camera features are all explained in detail and then you are made to do hands-on sessions whereby you practice all those features. And we go for this Photowalks or field trips that is what I like the most because you take those photos and practice those ideas and then those photos are reviewed and you are given feedback on how to improve and what are the other aspects you need to consider etc. So right now I am seeing an improvement over what I was doing earlier and I feel this was overall a good experience .

Tips to avoid Camera Shake

Camera shake or handshake is a basic problem in many of the beginners’ photos.
Use faster shutter speeds….this is decided based on the lighting condition and the focal length of the lens used.

  • 1.Use the shutter speed higher than the reciprocal of the focal length. Ie. If we are shooting with a 50mm range, the shutter speed has to be atleast 1/60secs and 200mm range, then it should be 1/250secs
  • Use higher ISO settings.
  • Use large aperture (f/4, f/2.8) settings
  • Use IS or VR options ON on your lens or camera.
  • Use the camera on a sturdy tripod. When you are shooting in low light condition, and not able to stick on to the reciprocal principle.
  • For long exposure and bulb settings, use a remote shutter release to trigger the shutter button.
  • Use total flash exposure…flash can easily freeze the action

Enjoy photography….

What Mr.Vijayan thinks about us?

Advanced Photography Course participant Mr.Vijayan shares his experience about the course. Mr.Vijayan traveled from Bangalore to Chennai every week to attend the course. To know more about our course get in touch with us. Call +91 9444 441190 Click: www.ambitions4.com

My Name is Vijayan, I am from Bangalore. I have completed the Advanced Photography course in Ambitions. The course was for 20 days and it was very helpful for me..

I have been in the photography field from 1984, I had a Color Lab, in my experience sin 84 the output from the course has been astonishing. Many photographers in my class (batch) who have been practicing professionally assuming that they knew everything also understood and learned many new things. I consider Raja Sir sharing his experience in the field since Black & White , film period is a great blessing. Non only that, I have got the confidence to shoot now, I have been well equipped all these years but I have learned how to use them only now. I request interested people to attend 5 days to 10 days class with Raja sir. This is one best institution to learn Photography and there is no doubt about it.

Sir explains everything in a very detailed manner and clarifies even the smallest of doubts in a very friendly manner.

Mobile Photography Workshop for Senior Citizens

Mobile phone, elderly people, photography I was unaware how the two days passed by! Yes, mobile phone photography workshop for the seniors (elderly) ….! … a completely new experience! I had the wonderful opportunity to share experience about photography with 65 to 90-year-old “young people”… This workshop arranged by Dignity foundation gave me a new experience as a Teacher.

People who have been high officials, with their thirst for seeking something new, new learning experiences, their vivid imagination and intent to keep themselves updated changed my perspective about old age.

The way they just went about doing did what pleased them, wholeheartedly not only surprised me but took me to a an unexplained state of mind and I realized and experienced the reality behind the saying “Learning has no Age limit” in those two days.

As a proof of their learning their photo and video exhibition that was held after two weeks showed that they meant business. I was invited to share the stage with famous Film personality Editor Mohan and his wife Mrs.Varalakshmi Mohan for the Award ceremony for the best pictures by Dignity Foundation. I wish that they continue this wonderful service.

All Cameras can make Photographs…Everyone can be a Photographer!
